This Position Is Responsible For The Management Of Key Suppliers, Business Relationships And Operational Performance..
Functional Responsibilities To Execute On The Supplier Management Framework Include Strategic Supplier Selection, Contracting, Compliance, Performance Management And Relationship Management..
Partner With Internal Business Areas And Suppliers To Define And Ensure Business Expectations And Contractual Obligations Are Met.. Executes Strategic Implementation And Processes To Support Iterative Evaluation Of Value Delivered..
Responsible for developing supplier strategies and interfacing with external suppliers to deliver quality, cost savings, and return on investment.
Develop programs, processes and tools to support iterative evaluation.
Ensure constant alignment with internal and external business partners.
Mentor team members in understanding strategy and approaches to execute.
Establish, develop and maintain sound relationships with suppliers/partners.
Manage/Own contracts while identifying opportunities to renegotiate suppliers’ agreements throughout the relationship.
Enforce contract agreements; establish understanding of guidelines for contract violation and resolve risks and issues associated with supplier and/or client non-performance.
Manage and track appropriate supplier performance, including metrics, interactions, and utilization of external benchmarks.
Lead contract negations and RFP activities, as needed
Lead and/or consult on special projects, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience in managing supplier relationships OR 9 years of experience in managing supplier relationships.
Demonstrates ability to influence change.
Experience delivering cross functional projects within a matrixed organization.
Experience managing contracts, customer relationships, suppliers, and strategic sourcing.
Experience managing difficult relationships and resolving conflict.
Ability to synthesize, simplify, and standardize concepts/processes toward tangible results.
Ability to influence, negotiate, and execute while navigating customer relationships.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, and make trade-off decisions.
Analytical thinking and consultative problem solving.
Teamwork and collaboration.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology and/or Health Care Management.
Master's in Business Administration or Health Care Management.
Advanced education or certifications in Supplier Management, Health Care Management, etc.
Prior experience in Information Technology, Health Care Management, Customer Service, Relationship Management, Government, Insurance, and/or Healthcare.
Knowledgeable in quality methodologies; Lean and/or Six Sigma philosophies, tools, and techniques.
Knowledge of Contract Financial Management practices including invoice tracking and budget analysis.
Knowledge of procurement technologies.
Knowledge of foundational IT systems, solutions, and capabilities.
