IT Project Manager - Atlas

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support our client's Research IT Team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in IT project management, agile methodologies, and project development while demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, large-team environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management

   • Manage end-to-end IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
   • Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
   • Oversee risk management and proactively address project challenges.

2. Agile Development

   • Lead projects using agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and retrospectives.
   • Utilize Jira for task management, reporting, and workflow optimization.

3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

   • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, researchers, and business stakeholders, to align project goals with organizational objectives.
   • Foster strong relationships and maintain effective communication with diverse team members.

4. Technical Understanding

   • Partner with technical teams to define project requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure seamless delivery of IT solutions.
   • Leverage experience in IT project development to guide decision-making and contribute to successful implementation.

5. Team Leadership & Facilitation

   • Act as a central point of contact, facilitating collaboration within large teams.
   • Promote a positive team culture, ensuring alignment and engagement across all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a strong focus on agile development.
• Proficiency in Jira and other project management tools.
• Proven experience managing IT projects in research or related environments in a pharmaceutical company is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with high emotional intelligence (EQ).
• Ability to navigate complex team dynamics and foster productive collaboration.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and project development processes.
• Certification in PMP, Agile, or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
