Position Summary: ExpediteInfoTech, Inc. is seeking an IT Project Manager to support Montgomery County Government’s Department of Health and Human Services on a one yar assignment with potential for extension.
The selected resource will assist the Information Technology Project Management Office, overseeing and successfully managing various projects simultaneously through implementation. Responsibilities will include acting as Project Manager for assigned IT Projects and developing documents for systems as needed. This will require coordination with Montgomery County’s Department of Technology and Enterprise Business Services (TEBS), DHHS department staff, State agencies, vendors, and other entities as required.
This is a primarily REMOTE position with occasional required site visits to Montgomery County, MD facilities. We are seeking a US Citizen or Permanent Resident who is able to work on our W2. (No 3rd party Corp to Corp enquiries will be entertained).

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that projects are defined, monitored, and implemented in a structured, consistent manner
- Employ processes and tools that promote predictability and quality of outcomes so that projects are completed on time and within scope and budget.
- Facilitating data collection efforts, regular checkpoint meetings, and special meetings as required.
- Hold briefings for the DHHS Senior Leadership Team, Workgroup, and Project Team as required.
- Use industry standard tools and systems to manage the requirements and other meeting items.
- Develop and implement Project Management Plans, Activities, and artifacts that ensure Montgomery County Government groups and vendors that are part of the Project Team.
- Ensure the proper documentation is in place, e.g., requirements document and support plans, to facilitate knowledge transfer in a manner that positions DHHS to assume primary responsibility for the ongoing support of the systems and capabilities implemented during this process.
- Prepare for and conduct regular project status meetings and publish meeting results.
- Provide regular reports on the Project Status such as price, schedule, and performance parameters for all projects as requested
- Demonstrate the continual assessment and mitigation of potential risks to project success as required.
- Improve DHSS IT Operations Processes:
- Ensure that all DHHS-supported IT Systems have the required documents and artifacts.
- Use available tools consistently to document the high-level operational/functional requirements necessary to evaluate proposed projects.
- Properly document changes to the system requirements.
- Use tools to document and manage requests for new solutions/support (i.e. ServiceNow).
- Support Special One-time projects supporting DHHS technology needs:
- Active Directory reconciliation projects
- Applications Analysis and Development of Management Capability
- Transition of user data from premise to cloud
- BA or BS degree (in a technical field is a plus)
- 5+ years of prior project/program management experience at least 4 of which includes experience managing multiple IT initiatives simultaneously
- Prior experience with large-scale projects updating or replacing IT Systems serving more than 1,000 users
- Creation of and use of existing tools to manage the application inventory to determine methods to reduce costs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and O365.
- Strong knowledge of software and implementation methodologies:
- Prior experience with scope management
- Prior experience in managing contracts greater than $5M
- Industry-recognized Project Management Certification for example (PMP).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as evidenced by prior experience in the development of reports or presentations to Executive Leadership
- Experience managing diverse teams, stakeholders and vendors.
- Must have reliable transportation and mobile communication and be able to travel to work sites within Montgomery County or work-related locations.
- Master’s degree in a technical field
