Job may require traveling from one Richmond office (e.g. downtown) to another (e.g. Innsbrook). Contractor to provide his / her own transportation between offices.
Position may require occasional out-of-town travel. If a project requires travel, it would typically be a trip once every 2-3 months. Travel expenses are reimbursable.
Contractor(s) will be expected to comply with Client s hybrid office and work-from-home policies, which generally specify alternating weeks in the office and working from home.
Contractor(s) will be responsible for finding and paying for parking.
Client provides computer and associated equipment for the office. The contractor is responsible for outfitting his / her home office.
Client does not provide company cell phone.
INFRASTRUCTURE / NETWORK PROJECT MANAGER
" Job Title: IT Project Manager
" Length of assignment: 12 months
" What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? If remote possibility, indicate schedule. Local to Richmond required.
" Will you consider candidates who will re-locate at their own expense? No
" Will travel be required for this position? If so, how often? Position may require occasional out-of-town travel. If a project requires travel, it would typically be a trip once every 2-3 months. Travel expenses are reimbursable.
" What schedule is the candidate required to work? 5 eight-hour days per week
" At any time is overtime required or would you say it is just available as a function of the job? May be required occasionally, but plan is for 40 hours per week
" Any required certifications? PMP strongly preferred
Qualifications:
" Experienced managing major projects in large corporate or enterprise environments. Responsible for budgets of at least ***M and teams of at least 15 people.
" Driver, not a passenger: Demonstrated owner with accountability for project success. Not a facilitator, coordinator, or project historian.
" Experience with waterfall / predictive methodologies strongly preferred.
" Accountable for managing budgets and resource plans.
" Skilled at developing project schedule and budget estimates, tracking aProductst them and reporting progress.
" Demonstrated understanding of project risk management.
" Experienced with process for selecting vendor through RFP, negotiating SOW and managing vendor performance.
" Strong written and verbal communication skills at all organization levels, including senior leadership.
" Experienced establishing and maintaining project governance plan including working with project sponsor, steering committee and stakeholders.
" PMP preferred.
" Six-sigma blue or black belts a plus.
" Proficient with Microsoft Project. MS Project Online and SAP user experience are beneficial.
" Agile is nice-to-have, but not required.

Manage infrastructure projects ranging from ***k to ***M, covering areas such as WAN / circuit connectivity for remote facilities, data center, building renovations, security architecture, network configuration and upgrades. Projects may include outside vendors and PM manages those contracts.
