About the Job
A consumer products company in New Jersey is currently seeking a new IT Project Manager to join their team and focus on Master Data Governance (MDG). In this role, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and reporting of project activities for the Master Data Governance initiative.
About the Opportunity:
- Hours: Standard Business(EST US Time Zone)
- Occasional business travel for team meetings, projects, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT portion of the MDG projects delivering capabilities across business areas and technical disciplines
- Operate in partnership with the systems integration team, third party consultants, and company process owners utilizing a waterfall or agile project approach, as required
- Ensure that all required project activities are identified, assigned, validated, and delivered completely and on time
- Define project milestones, develop detailed project plans, and manage status reporting to project teams and stakeholders
- Perform tactical and strategic analysis, as required, to produce relevant project information
- Interface with internal and external technical teams to drive project objectives
- Work with stakeholders and technical groups to ensure functional requirements are fully documented and sufficient
- Guide the stakeholders to develop testing plans, validating the effectiveness of the MDG solution and update processes prior to production implementation
- Plan, coordinate, monitor, and communicate progress for solution go-live activities
- Identify opportunities to adapt the company's IT Project Management processes to effectively deliver the MDG project
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Management and/or similar role
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, and/or a related field
- Experience working with core business processes for ERP
- Working understanding of ITIL framework, terminology, and core principles
- Strong skills with Microsoft 365 programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
- Solid analytical and quantitative skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
