IT Project Manager - American Technology Consulting

General responsibilities: Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. Follows standard projectmanagement industry practices such asthe PMI's framework. Understands business and technical objectives of aproject and works closely with projectsponsors. Creates project charter and work plan and tracks budget and scheduleprogress via appropriatemetrics. Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines rolesand responsibilities. Documentsrisks and develops mitigation plans. Manages scope. Creates and implements acommunication plan. Builds aneffective team, assigns tasks to team members, and evaluates outcomes.Negotiates resources. Communicatesto stakeholders and project sponsors. Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolutionof issues and removal of barriers.Provides technical support to project members. Handles complex applicationfeatures and technical designs.Designs and implements the components required for complex application features.Generally, manages a groupof applications system analysts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan andaccomplish goals. Professionalcertification is highly desirable. May require specific PC, workstation, operating system, application orplatform skills. Provides overall directionto the formulation, development, implementation, and delivery of a project.Exercises managementresponsibility over the achievement of performance, revenue, and profitobjectives of a project and itscontracts. Ensures that the project plan maintains tasks, schedules, estimates,and status, and disseminatesinformation to team members and customers. Creates a structure and organizationfor the management of acomplex environment with emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency.Directs corrective actions in anyarea when performance falls below objectives. Arranges for the assignment ofresponsibility to other supportingfacilities, business areas, and support functions, and monitors theirperformance. Self-directed andindependent. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.Oversees all aspects of projects. Setsdeadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress ofproject. Prepares reports forexecutives and upper management regarding status of project and presents statusof projects in regularlyscheduled program steering meetings.Desired experience: 5 years of experience managing projects with budgets greater than $20 million. 5 years Agile Leadership Experience (document in resume). Past 5 years of experience must be as a Project Manager working on ITProjects. Documented experience managing an IT project in a large, complexenterprise-governed IT ecosystem. Microsoft DevOps Experience. Program management experience highly desired; experience working with otherproject managers to ensuretechnology integration between systems. Must be local to Lansing, Michigan area.
