About the Job
This position will report to our Houston, TX office with a 50/50 in-office/remote attendance expectation. Potential travel MAY be requested (10%) as project needs dictate and will be coordinated in advance. Interviews will be in person at our downtown Houston office. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
Work Schedule: Must be located in Houston, 50/50 in office/remote. We have designated days (3rd week of every month, and every Wednesday) that they will be in the office, there also may be need based on project need to come in.
Our team is currently engaged in a complex data center move on a tight timeline and we need help managing the work effort across our team. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of our team's scope on time and within the allotted budget, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize the progress of the team s effort both to team leadership and the lead Program Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that assigned projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
Use and continually develop leadership skills
Perform other related duties as assigned
Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document need
Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred but not required
Proven working experience in project management
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Experience with Microsoft Teams and Azure DevOps preferred
Airline experience preferred
