IT PROJECT MANAGER – some experience in Apparel : -
- Lead the teams to analyze, document and understand the integration of functionalities with the other IT domains including ERP, Logistics,
Line Planning etc and manage the integration efforts partnering with the other IT leads
- Partner with the change management team to ensure all the impacted users receive the necessary training, communication & documentation to ensure business continuity.
- Partner with the data analytics team to ensure all reporting needs and captured and align on the plan for rollout of the same along with the system rollouts for the program.
- Communicate regularly with Steering Committee, project team members, and representatives from various functional and/or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration.
- Responsible for end-to-end testing to ensure system reliability and performance, through both execution and coordination of required test resources across the landscape and other impacted systems.
Ensure thorough testing of solutions, troubleshoot issues and implement timely resolutions and escalate as necessary.
Oversee the project management functions related to the IT workstream. This includes establishing and maintaining standards along with processes for project management, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. Responsible for project planning, risk management, and reporting to senior management on project status and performance
experience in engaging in project communication including leading regularly scheduled project team meetings, preparing meeting summaries,
facilitating meetings to resolve project issues, preparing clear and concise status reports, presenting project status briefings.
experience in managing project documentation such as design and requirements
- Manages cross functional projects with some interdependencies to other systems.
- Mentors project managers, project coordinators and less experienced staff in project management.
- Creates project schedule and plan and work with functional leads to secure resources.
- Identifies and resolves delays and resourcing issues.
- Accountable for projects completing within schedule baseline.
- Creates risk management plan and strategies to enhance, avoid, transfer, or mitigate the risk.
- Drives results independently with minimal supervision.
- Evaluates change requests and make recommendations to accept, deny, or defer the change.
- Creates, manages, and reports out on project budgets and status. Manages costs to ensure project completes within cost baseline.
- Facilitates project meetings and communicates with the project team, sponsor, and functional managers.
- Assumes lead worker role for training and knowledge transfer.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
- Expert in the Retail/Apparel IT domain with experience with implementing solutions in Merch Financial/Assortment/Buy Planning systems.
15+ years of IT work experience in the areas of Information Technology,
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with organizational change management concepts and business process improvement methods
- Experience in Agile
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle
- Effective at influencing and leading without direct authority.
- Ability to operate at a senior level, drive complex decisions and solve problems in a timely manner.
- Proficient in project management and project management software.
- Lead and manage cross-functional workstreams to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Define and improve project processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
- Oversee project budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
