Lyra Technology Group is seeking an IT Project Engineer for one of our operating companies, Lazorpoint The IT Project Engineer is responsible for managing and delivering IT projects on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality. You will work closely with the other team members to ensure that projects are delivered according to the agreed scope and timeline. Lazorpoint Project Engineers serve clients and team members alike by designing and deploying technology solutions that help users be more productive.

Your work as an IT Project Engineer will includes several components:
• Make recommendations and assist with the design of solutions based on client requirements.
• Lead small teams or act as an engineer within a team to implement and deliver client projects.
• Interested in continued learning and keeping up with changes to relevant technologies such as: Microsoft Platforms, Cloud, Virtualization, Networking, Storage, Backup and Recovery, and Security.
• Be proactive in leading, guiding, and assisting others within your area of expertise.
• Be willing to travel in order to assist local clients, when necessary.
• Experience with the following:
o IT environment discovery and assessment.
o Infrastructure expansion because of merger and acquisitions or business expansion into new locations - Office 365 and cloud migrations.
o Centralized computing including virtual desktop and remote desktop services.
o Server virtualization and data center solutions.
o Backup and disaster recovery design and implementations.
Our ideal IT Project Engineer has the following qualifications:
• 5+ years' experience with the Microsoft platform.
• 1-2 years project implementation experience.
• Previous mid-market or consulting experience is preferred.
• Understanding of extraordinary service and a deep desire to provide every customer with a great experience.
• Internally motivated and able to produce high-quality outcomes, both individually and in collaboration with teammates.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to translate and clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Problem-solver with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• A degree in a technology or business-related field is preferred.
• Technical certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Dell, Citrix, etc. are not required, but a plus.
