About the Job
This role requires a Senior Project Manager who can drive strategy and executes on high priority transformation projects. The candidate will work with business, audit, risk and senior level stakeholders across SSGA as well as external vendors.
The role requires a seasoned leader of cross functional teams in various global locations.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager consist of, but are not limited to:
• Leads the end-to-end planning and management of multiple complex projects
• Plans, organizes and controls the activities of cross-functional project teams
• Facilitates and integrates dependent upstream and downstream tasks and activities as related to project delivery
• Develops and maintains an end-to-end project plan
• Defines, manages and controls project scope
• Coordinates overall project communications, risks, and issues resolution
• Coordinates project tracking and reporting
• Coordinates on time and on budget delivery
• Coordinates communication with sponsors and management concerning the project status and issues
• Identifies and uses best practices for project management
• Demonstrates an understanding of the impact of problems across the organization and facilitates a collaborative solution
• Interprets client needs, assessing the full requirements (both functional and technical); identifies and facilitates solutions to non-standard tasks/queries
• Interprets internal and/or external business issues and best practice in own discipline; applies to own role
• Identifies key issues and patterns in complex situations; takes a broad perspective to problems and identifies new / less obvious solutions e.g. thinks creatively
• Develops and nurtures productive and collaborative relationships across all project stakeholders
• Participates in elicitation and definition of product roadmap
• Ensures that project artifacts are audit ready and compliant with CIS and SDLC policies/procedures
• Manages and coaches junior team members; this could also include direct management of some staff members
Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and 10 plus years of experience in large complex technology projects.
• Project / Program Management certification a plus – PMP from PMI or other recognized project management certification
• Experience with JIRA, MSProject, PowePoint & Excel / Tableau
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $185,000 Annual
