- Act as a voice of the customers – understand the business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Work with the business partners to define the future products and roadmap.
- Understand and articulate the technology vision and strategy and ensure the technology solution successfully aligns with the business goals and priorities.
- Build a strong rapport with the investment teams, operations, and information technology team members.
- Perform data-driven analysis and develop recommendations to guide decision-making.
- A key scrum team member responsible for ensuring that development processes align with the product roadmap.
- Manage the Product Backlog effectively to maximize the delivered value, including developing and communicating sprint goals and priorities; creating and communicating product backlog items; ensuring that the product backlog is transparent, visible, and understood
- Define user stories based on customer requirements. Translate business needs into requirements for a technical audience, including creating user stories, synthesizing use cases, defining acceptance criteria, and documenting feature overviews.
- Coordinate and assist in the testing of new products and features
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, finance, business administration, or related field. A graduate degree is a plus
- 6+ years of professional experience with leadership in technology, business analysis, or business.
- 3+ years of product ownership experience
Required Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in the Investment Management industry.
- Proven experience in a product owner role in an agile/scrum software development organization and understanding of the development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent work items with minimal supervision.
- Excellent decision-making ability to manage a complex, ever-changing priority list and resolve conflicts with competing priorities
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written. Capable of collaborating effectively in functional communication to technical stakeholders and technical communication to non-technical stakeholders)
- A strong analyst with a thorough understanding of interpreting customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements.
- Strong problem-solving r. Ability to identify where the focus is needed and bring clarity to business objectives, requirements, and priorities
- Business and Functional requirement knowledge (i.e., elicitation of requirements, planning, documentation, analysis, and alignment to standards)
- The ability to embrace, adapt, and lead through change fosters effective partnerships and collaboration with peers and vendor resources.
Salary
65 - 85 /hour
