As the IT Operations Specialist, our employees will depend on you to provide solutions to technical and software issues in the office and on the plant floor. Your successful management of internal systems will keep people moving – from the teammates in our facility, to the customers on the road. You will have the opportunity to learn and expand your IT skills through daily problem solving and troubleshooting throughout the entire manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:As the IT Operations Specialist, you will have a team of support, but will be expected to individually and confidently provide expert technical/operational support on a day-to-day basis. In doing so, you will be responsible for:
- Understanding multiple hardware and software programs used throughout the plant/office in order to troubleshoot and provide support
- Taking ownership of the JIRA Help Desk ticket management system and responding to inquiries in an efficient and effective manner
- Keeping security top of mind through installations/updates of software such as virus scanning and security management applications
- Learning factory-specific applications such as Alpha Plant Lab software, MeasureX, Profilometer, and having a willingness to adapt as programs change and upgrade
- Working collaboratively with the IT team on software rollouts, cyber security activities, and production app issues and resolution
- Setup and continuous support of wireless devices such as handhelds, tablets, and laptops
- Providing hardware back-up imaging support on critical computers that support production
- Basic port management and switch configuration for access layer switches
- Ensuring we’re all connected through WIFI support including access point replacement and signal surveys
- Basic phone system troubleshooting including configuration knowledge needed for replacement
- Evaluating, installing, and applying group policies as well as support hardware and printers
- A passion for IT, finding solutions, and continuous learning
- The ability to positively interact with a diverse set of end-users and coworkers through problem explanations and solution feedback
- Strong time management skills with the capability to recognize and place priority to multiple projects
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours (M-F, 12am – 8am)
- Knowledge of, and experience with, VMware, Windows, Networking and IP Device configuration, software management programs, and Adobe Reader and Java
- It’s a plus if you have working knowledge of Systems Center Configuration Manager, Horizon Administrator Console, Wyse Device Manager, and SOTI mobile control
- 1-2 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (IT Operations)
- An Associate’s Degree or higher in IT or a related field
