IT Operations Lead for Urban Science Applications Inc. in Long Beach, California. Job duties include:
- Participate in, delegate project tasks, and report on progress and milestones of End User Computing projects.
- Ensure adherence to Windows 11 Operating System lifecycle for the End User Computing environment, including testing and employee communications.
- Ensure team monitors and responds to End User Computing incident and service requests, using the System Center Service Manager (SCSM) IT Service Manager (ITSM) platform.
- Manage the installation and configuration of software, feature, and security updates using Microsoft Intune device management tooling, across mobile and workstation endpoints.
- Collaborate with team members by sharing knowledge, creating technical documentation, providing support and knowledge to help resolve issues within the End User Computing function.
- Act as a point of escalation within the End User Computing team, to troubleshoot and correct issues and problems that cannot be resolved for End User Computing technologies including Windows 11, Microsoft Office and other endpoint installed software.
- Act as a point of escalation within the End User Computing team for endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Ensure team monitors health of end user computing technologies through Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
- Responsible for all aspects of RSTMM (recruit, select, train, manage, motivate) of selected End User Computing staff.
Position requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or foreign equivalent education, or education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, and 4 years’ experience in IT Operations in the position of IT Operations Associate, IT Operations Specialist, or any other IT Operations positions. 4 years of experience is required in all the following:
- Administering end User Computing processes and initiatives, including Operating System lifecycle management, workstation software asset management, hardware asset management, and identity management.
- Administering unified endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Responding to incident and end-user requests, troubleshooting issues with hardware, internal applications, locally installed software through to resolution utilizing Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM).
- Monitoring of system generated alerts for End User Computing related technologies using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
- Technical documentation management, creating and maintaining process definition documents, operating procedures, and training manuals.

Salary: $117,004.00 per year. 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
