We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer with 5-10 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations, and implementing efficient solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Endpoint Management:
- Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Ensure all endpoints are up-to-date with necessary patches, updates, and security measures.
- Service Desk Support:
- Provide efficient and timely technical support to internal users via the service desk, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
- Escalate complex problems to appropriate teams and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
- Conduct regular audits to track inventory changes and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Access Management:
- Administer access control systems to manage user permissions and access rights across various IT resources.
- Implement and enforce access policies to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contract Organization and Cataloging:
- Organize and catalog contracts, agreements, and procurement documents related to IT services and equipment.
- Ensure contracts are up-to-date, properly stored, and easily accessible for reference and review.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors to support internal communication equipment and maintain service level agreements.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and resolve issues to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Warehouse Systems Support:
- Provide technical support for warehouse systems, including printers and wireless scanners used in inventory management and logistics operations.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Desktop and Device Support:
- Assist end-users with desktop support, including software installations, configuration changes, and troubleshooting.
- Respond to device-related issues promptly and ensure hardware functionality is restored efficiently.
- New User Onboarding:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees by setting up accounts, configuring devices, and providing training on IT systems and policies.
- Ensure a smooth transition for new users to become productive members of the organization.
- Policy Development:
- Contribute to the development and documentation of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish best practices and standards for IT operations and security.
- Terminations:
- Manage the IT aspects of employee terminations, including revoking access rights, collecting equipment, and safeguarding company data.
- Adhere to established protocols and policies to protect sensitive information and mitigate security risks.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proven track record in analyzing complex technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
