Job Description
Job Title: IT Operations Administrator
Reports to: Director, IT

Primary Responsibilities: The IT Operations Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role involves overseeing servers, networks, and other critical systems, as well as providing technical support and troubleshooting.
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of network architectures, cloud services, data center operations, and cybersecurity principles.
• IT Service Management (ITSM): Familiarity with frameworks like ITIL to design, deliver, and monitor IT services.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Experience with cloud platforms and managing cloud-based services.
• Network Security: Knowledge of network security protocols and compliance regulations.
• DevOps Practices: Understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools for continuous integration and delivery.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform strategic decisions.
Soft Skills
• Leadership and Team Management: Ability to inspire and motivate teams, manage cross-functional teams, and delegate tasks effectively.
• Strategic Planning: Skills in developing and executing IT strategies, managing budgets, and driving process improvements.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues promptly.

Essential Job Functions:
• Manage and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to plan and implement new technologies.
• Document IT infrastructure configurations and procedures.
• Provide technical support to end-users and resolve IT-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audience.
• Able work independently and seek help when needed.
• Must be able to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to software problems and issues.

• Interest in expanding one’s knowledge in the technology industry
Physical Requirements:
• Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, to include the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.
• Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
• Position may involve sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to or more than 50 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.
• Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
• Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
Environmental Requirements:
• Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances. For safety reasons, employee must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.
• Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
