Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to lead our technology operations and support the organization’s strategic goals. The IT Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for business success. This role requires a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage teams and projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy to align with business objectives.
- Lead and manage the IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Infrastructure and Operations Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, security, and performance of IT systems, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Ensure reliable operation of business-critical applications and systems with minimal downtime.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Project Management:
- Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and assets.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Support and Collaboration:
- Provide strategic IT support to departments and stakeholders to enhance productivity and innovation.
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Partner with vendors and service providers to optimize IT services and solutions.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor system performance and generate reports to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate IT team productivity and system reliability.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT roles, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership position.
- Proven track record in managing IT teams and delivering successful projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and risk management.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, MS Project).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
- Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or manufacturing.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
