About the Job
The Test Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day activities of all assigned software or infrastructure upgrade releases. Duties involve overseeing the quality assurance efforts for assigned test engineering team, ensuring defined standards and processes for software are followed, and onboarding the team in understanding project requirements which involves developing detailed plans and strategies for software testing, analyzing and interpreting test plans and results, and assisting in debugging and resolving software issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform systems analysis, documenting and executing testing, and defect tracking.
- Coordinate with IPT members to execute and document test activities.
- Provide direction, guidance and mentoring to other project testing team members.
- Lead and coordinate meetings with the team and client.
- Help in establishing and standardizing project processes, develop uniformity and consistency across testing teams.
- Participate in proposal writing.
Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and associated scripts.
- Develop and document strategies for repeated tests.
- Execute and evaluate test plans and test cases.
- Analyze software test results and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging of test cases.
- Train personnel in software testing methodology.
- Review software requirements and test plans.
- Monitor and report progress on test plans and cases.
- Work collaboratively with other team members.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
- Manage daily, weekly communication on testing status to internal and external project stakeholders
- Setup JIRA based score cards to allow for stakeholder access to testing status
- Escalate as needed to key project and organizational leadership
- Technical aptitude to lean, script, execute automated solutions
- Identify and approach problem and draw valid solutions to mitigate
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Excellent verbal and communication skills (ability to present the facts)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree with work experience
- Knowledge of JIRA, Test Management Tools, Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin
- Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Iterative Development)
- Deep knowledge of Test-Driven Development and/or Behavioral Driven Development
- Knowledge of healthcare, insurance, or financial services is a plus

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
