Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with MAXIMUS to deliver new products, solutions and services to the company.
- Responsible for ensuring that new infrastructure that is stood up conforms to corporate standards specifically regarding HA/DR, tiered architecture and monitoring.
- Responsible for documenting processes and procedures for junior support staff and other IT teams for utilizing the new products, solutions and services.
- Solving the problems that haven't been identified yet, and the Engineer will be a key role in identifying the problems, including symptoms and scope, as well as developing and implementing solutions to those problems.
- Solutions research.

The DMCS IT Infrastructure Sr Engineer works remotely as part of the DMCS Infrastructure team which is responsible for all systems on the DMCS contract. The team monitors the health of all systems and oversees new system builds, consolidations, relocations, migrations, and decommissions. Systems are located across several Amazon Web Services (AWS) accounts for the program. Interaction with vendors and contract support groups is required.
The position is a fully remote position requiring US citizenship and physical work location in CONUS. Applicates must have the ability to pass a background check. Afterhours and weekend work is required on occasion to support the systems. The Majority of the DMCS systems are Windows OS. Any new staff members would be a member of the DMCS Infrastructure team. New hires would be expected to perform or contribute to the work listed as well as all daily, weekly, monthly, or annual work activities assigned by the DMCS Infrastructure Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures compliance with DMCS security practices/policies for all systems used by line of business.
• Windows OS administration to include Active Directory, Group Policy Objects,
• Identify and recommend metrics to measure and report on continuous improvements.
• Manage documentation and Standard Operation Procedures for products and services.
• Provide project management planning and leadership in development of complex initiatives supporting enterprise programs.
• Effectively engage with vendors, system administrators, and network engineers to resolve system performance issues timely and efficiently.
• Support annual Disaster Recovery testing
• Participates in scheduled security audits
• Troubleshooting support to meet system uptime requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
Education/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in related field of study or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• 3-5 years or related experience.
• Experience operating and supporting enterprise environments with 24x7x365 uptime requirements that may require on call support.
• Experience creating and updating diagrams, drawing schematics, and documentation of systems
• Windows OS administration, build, troubleshooting, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with information technology professionals, end users, and management.
• Experience writing technical knowledge and procedure documents.
• Comfortable with remote work requiring collaboration with tools such as: Teams, SharePoint, Zoom
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or like applications
Below knowledge or experience are a plus but not required:
• Experience with AWS Systems
• Experience with Linux systems
• F5 Load Balancer and Palo Alto systems with Panorama
• XMFax administration
• Cyberark
• Sonicwall
• Symantec Data Loss Prevention
• Viso like software
• Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, SalesForce
Additional Requirements as per contract/client:
•Must Be Eligible to Obtain Government Clearance

•Must currently reside in the U.S.
•Must be able to pass a criminal background check
•Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans
•Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearance.

•Obtaining and Maintaining a PIV-I card is a requirement of this position. PIV-I cards must be picked up in person. If applicable, new and existing employees may need to travel via car, train, or plane to a designated location to pick up their new or replacement PIV-I card. Any travel expenses will be paid for by Maximus.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
