As an IT Help Desk Support Specialist (Part-time) you will be responsible for the support of computing and communication technology to all Everspring employees. Therefore, we are looking for a friendly, professional and committed individual with excellent collaborative skills that is always happy to learn and to interact with people face to face, via tickets and chat! Thanks to your technical and troubleshooting skills you will consistently delivers superior customer service.
This role reports to the Technology Support Manager and is located in our downtown Chicago office .
Responsibilities:
- Support desktop software and hardware in a Windows/Mac hybrid environment, including inventory of all fixed assets and software licenses
- Support and guide end-users, including our remote workforce
- Collaborate to the technology on-boarding and off-boarding tasks for all employees and contractors
- Provide all aspects of support to users for basic software and hardware for end-user computing
- Troubleshoot problems using personal knowledge and experience
- Document solutions with scripts, checklists and guides for use by others for issue resolution
- Develop end-user guidelines and provide on-site end-user training
- Consult with and make recommendations to users on selection of hardware and software products to address business requirements
- Evaluate, maintain, modify and document desktop application packages, participate in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages and implement prototypes
- Provide maintenance and support for moderately complex client products, peripherals, audio/visual equipment, network and physical moves
- Assist team in QA of new software product releases across multiple platforms, including mobile
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required
- Excellent and proven customer service previous experience
- 2+ years of work experience in a technical support field with demonstrated working
knowledge of the basic hardware and software products and problem
solving/troubleshooting skills - Proven track record of delighting customers
- Ability to multi-task and see projects through to completion
- Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
