Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Deliver hands-on technical assistance to employees, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and configurations.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware problems, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
- User Assistance:
- Provide on-site guidance and training on various software applications and technological tools.
- Address IT-related inquiries, offering clear instructions to resolve issues effectively.
- Systems Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on computers, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and maintain an equipment inventory.
- Prepare reports on recurring issues, system performance, and equipment status.
- Security and Compliance:
- Follow company policies and security protocols, ensuring data protection compliance.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with the IT team on IT projects, upgrades, and deployments.
- Communicate effectively with users, ensuring their needs are met and providing updates on resolutions or system changes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a flair for explaining technical details clearly.
