IT Help Desk Technician - Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Co

Celebrating over 35 years in business, Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company develops and implements safety footwear programs for large industrial, government, and service organizations. We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator  to work in our Greensboro NC office! The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining our current systems and keeping our IT support staff updated on the latest tools and processes. The ideal candidate for this position is well-versed in Windows-based computing solutions with strong experience in server and infrastructure maintenance. This is a full-time opportunity (with full company paid benefits) working in a fast-paced office/warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor. Server installation, configuration, and upgrade.

• Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
• Operates, maintains and configures routers/switches/voice systems/Voice over IP.
• Administers and maintains VMware, Citrix XenAPP, Microsoft RDS and RemoteApp.
• Monitor and maintain Backup systems.
• Administration and maintenance of SAN systems.
• Administration and management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of IT related experience.
• Knowledge of networking and network devices.
• Exceptional skills in troubleshooting, analytics and diagnostics.
• Ability to work with outside phone network vendor to configure network needs at a given location.
• Knowledge of Firewall setup and administration and maintenance.
• Printer and Print Server setup and administration.
• Basic Apple knowledge and experience providing support for OS.
• Candidates will need to pass a criminal background check.
