Home Office: IT Helpdesk Professional
Position Summary:
Our I.T. Helpdesk Professional will be responsible forproviding fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems. You willanswer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. Anexcellent Help desk professional must have good technical knowledge, excellenttroubleshooting skills, and be able to communicate effectively to understandthe problem and explain its solution. Amazing customer service skills are amust!
Essential Functions:
IT Helpdesk Professional must be tech savvy with workingknowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control. Thisrole needs to have a good understanding of computer systems, and other tech productswith the ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues. - Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technicalissues
- Determining the best solution based on the issueand details provided by customers
- Walk our communities through the problem-solvingprocess
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level ofsupport personnel
- Provide accurate information on IT products orservices
- Record events and problems and their resolutionin logs
- Follow-up and update customer status andinformation
- Set up and configure technical devices andsoftware
Work Environment
This positionoperates onsite atthe Americare Home Office. They will need to be able to relate to all levels ofthe facilities with the ability to trouble shoot and support systems out in thefacilities. Be a team player that motivates and educates other team members. Havethe ability to analyze and resolve website issues while performing remote andhands on troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
Physical Demands
This position must have the ability to handle computer tasksof some complexity in a variety or an independent and responsible manner. Themust also have the ability to work accurately and efficiently with attention todetail while following protocol. This role needs to have a full understandingand ability to utilize a computer and learn required software as designated bycompany protocol. Employee must also have an understanding and ability to followall regulations and policies by the State and Board of Directors. Employee musthave communication skills to be able to interact with Home Health and Americarestaff.
The physical demands ofthis position include;
• Standing, sitting, walking, changing ofposition, reaching, extending hands & arms, reach across midline,crouching, balancing, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting or carrying 35lbs& push and pull 100 lbs.
Sensory Demands:
• Auditory: to hear and understand verbalrequest,
• Visually: be able to read necessaryinformation to complete work tasks,
• Verbally: communicate with customers and others on your team
SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
• It is mandatory to follow safety policies andprocedures including use carts when moving items as well as all personalprotective equipment. Rather than lift heavy objects, break down items tosmaller quantity.
• Mandatory reporting of all work relatedinjuries within 12 hours to supervisor with participation in requireddocumentation.
• Participation in our drug testing proceduresis a mandatory part of employment with this facility.
OSHA Exposure: - Category III, not at risk for exposure toblood borne pathogens.
PositionType/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position working Monday –Friday in aprofessional office setting.
Travel- Required corporate training/meetings
- Some travel to Americare communities as needed
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
The Successful Candidate Will- Strong customer service skill set.
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobiledevices, and other tech products
- Able to diagnose and resolve basic technicalissues
Job Requirements- Graduate with an Associate’s Degree in IT,Computer Science or relevant field- or working towards a degree orcertification or an equivalent combination of skills and experience
- 3-5 years’ experience with technical assistanceand computer systems
