Overview:The IT & Engineering Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and aligning technology-driven and engineering-related initiatives to optimize operational performance. This role focuses on managing IT systems, ensuring seamless integration across platforms, and addressing engineering challenges that contribute to the resort's efficiency and growth. The manager will serve as a bridge between the IT and engineering departments, ensuring cohesive collaboration and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:IT Responsibilities (70%)
- Oversee and manage IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud services.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard company data and systems.
- Develop, deploy, and manage software applications to enhance operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Manage IT-related vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
Engineering Responsibilities (20%)
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address technical issues impacting operations.
- Assist in the maintenance and optimization of equipment and physical systems.
- Contribute to engineering projects by providing technical insights and IT-related support.
- Coordinate with all operational departments within the hotel to integrate IT solutions with operational workflows.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in engineering initiatives.
General Responsibilities (10%)
- Develop and manage budgets for IT and engineering-related expenditures.
- Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and tools.
- Generate reports and analytics to inform decision-making at the leadership level.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of technology and engineering solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in IT and engineering to recommend innovative strategies.
- Any other tasks or project provided by the Director of Engineering or General Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in Hotel IT management, with exposure to engineering operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, software, and networks.
- Familiarity with engineering concepts, equipment, and workflows.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
