Position Summary
We're looking for an IT Document Specialist to author, edit, and review product documentation. In this role, you'll work with internal resources, interview various team technicians, and attend meetings to gather, write, and publish technical information for our varied audiences. You'll produce a variety of top-quality learning materials such as technical documentation, infographics, screenshot markups, and training videos.

You have strong writing skills, the ability to synthesize technical content from an SME and create training materials that clearly explain the topic/task to IT technicians as well as end users based on their persona. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain our internal documentation for use with the Knowledge Base and within the ticketing system.
- Always be aware of updates that need to be made on documents and within the SharePoint Knowledge Base. There will be documents to maintain, update and retire.
- Create in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, and in-product self-help documentation.
- Test both the product and its documentation for accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain version control on all IT documents and SOP documents.
- Adapt rapidly to a changing industry and be able to adjust responsibilities, time, and objectives accordingly.
- Identify problem areas or structural deficiencies and proactively contribute to their improvement.
- Regular use of various software to manage the lifecycle of technical documentation including draft, review, and publish phases.
- Regular communication and synchronization with the IT management members with updates for better processes and needs to complete assignments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with Office 365 and PDF files are a plus.
- Must be able to frequently sit for long periods of time and must also be able to maintain a courteous attitude throughout the day.
- Ability to write clearly and succinctly for multiple audiences using either formal or more casual tones.
- Create exceptional documentation in the form of user guides, integration guides, in-platform instructions, installation/configuration instructions and system operations.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex content.
- Strong technical aptitude–ability to quickly learn new concepts and tools.
- Research, write, edit, and revise content that is both engaging and accessible to user personas with both non-technical and technical backgrounds.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
- Excellent work ethic and strong intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and multi-task.
- Desire and ability to innovate and improve upon current processes.
- Experience creating infographics to communicate workflow processes and abstract topics more clearly.
- Track record of effective collaboration.
- Experience in prioritizing and understanding the lifecycle of documentation from pre-release through on-going maintenance.
- Experience creating infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in English, Communication, or Journalism.
- 2-5 years' experience working as a Document Specialist or in related job role.
