Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Director to lead our IT department and manage the relationship with our Managed Service Provider (MSP). This position will oversee all aspects of IT operations, ensuring that both internal and external IT resources are aligned to support business goals. The IT Director will be responsible for enhancing existing processes—both automated and manual—while driving efficiencies through the strategic use of technology. This role requires advanced proficiency in a range of IT systems and platforms, with a focus on maintaining secure, efficient, and cost-effective IT operations across multiple locations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the IT department, ensuring all functions are optimized for operational success.
• Drive collaboration and maximize the effectiveness of the MSP vendor to support seamless and reliable IT services across the organization.
• Assess, implement, and continuously improve automated and manual IT processes, aligning with business objectives.
• Ensure secure network management and infrastructure, including the deployment and monitoring of firewalls, VPNs, and other security protocols.
• Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft platforms, including SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365, Power Apps, and Power Automate, to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the effective integration and operation of ERP systems, supporting business processes across departments.
• Strategically manage IT assets, including hardware, software, and peripherals, with a focus on cost-effective procurement, inventory management, and resource lifecycle planning.
• Develop and enforce best practices for IT onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring data security and system access compliance.
• Lead the development of IT budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals while supporting the organization’s growth and technological needs.
• Collaborate with leadership to plan and implement future IT projects, ensuring timely adoption and integration of new technologies.
• Ensure adherence to IT security policies, data protection regulations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds contractual obligations.
• All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Proven experience in IT leadership, with the ability to manage both internal IT teams and external vendor relationships.
• Extensive expertise in Microsoft platforms, including SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, network management, security infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs), and telecommunication systems.
• Strong ability to manage IT resources, including hardware, software, and budget management, while focusing on strategic optimization.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work across departments and with external partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement of IT systems and processes.
• Experience in overseeing IT onboarding/offboarding processes and ensuring secure, efficient system access for employees.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in IT, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects, optimizing IT infrastructure, and ensuring the successful integration of systems across a multi-location organization.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft platforms, ERP systems, and network security management is essential.
• Experience working with third-party vendors, managing service contracts, and overseeing IT budgets.
