Client Cross of Michigan is currently seeking an Agile and Waterfall IT Project Manager within our Enterprise Information Management Data Mgt & Integration department located in our Jefferson facility. This Project Manager will work independently within guidelines, be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing application and system implementation projects using a formal project management.
Excellent agile project management consultative, logical reasoning and analytical skills are a must. Work will consist of a mix of complex, medium and simple projects.
Perform the role of project level Agile Scrum Master, including scheduling and facilitating Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement and Sizing. Facilitate the creation and maintenance of Agile artifacts, such as Product Backlog, Release Plans, Sprint Backlogs and burndown charts. Servant leader that fosters the continued emergence of empowered high-performing teams by setting an environment built on self-organizing, sustainable pacing, respect and trust.
Manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request form. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project. Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client. Establish, schedule, and facilitate regular status meetings with project personnel. Identify and coordinate any effects on dependent projects.
Manage the project resource plan to insure the teams have provided the appropriate resources with available capacity to perform the work expected for the project. Coordinate with resource managers of impacted teams to properly level the utilization of the resource across projects.
Essential Company Duties and Responsibilities
General corporate functions applied to IT: budgeting, financial and contracts management, audit, compliance, human resources, training and development.
With general guidance and coaching, responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology.
Typically manages 2-3 project of complex size and multiple projects of small to moderate size and risk concurrently.
Oversees the system development process.
Develops detailed plans and schedules, including goals, risks, and resource allocation.
Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule.
Assists in establishing and improving project management methodologies, procedures and policies.
Adheres to Project Management Office policies, procedures, and methodologies.
Coach and mentor individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders.
Oversees client/customer relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met.
Top Three Required Skills /Experience:
Strong Agile Project Management and SCRUM Masters skills. Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, organizational, verbal and written communication skills and attention to details a must. Must be able to exhibit in relation to data integration and management
3-5 years experience with, Data Integration and Management solutions
Excellent consultative skills and must demonstrate ability to understand business needs, identify solutions based on those needs and build relationship with business partners and IT team. Self-starter and independent. Willing to do what it takes.
Required Skills/Experience:
Education/Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
Minimum five (3) years experience in a delivery and consulting role leading data movement and integration related initiatives (system integration, data warehouse build, data mart build, or similar) is required
Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong experience on and knowledge of Project Management Institute's standards and terminology; Agile and Waterfall
Extensive creativity required across areas of expertise.
Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.

- Strong and seasoned Project Manager with heavy focus on Agile methodology and ability to act as a SCRUM Master
- Proven competence in analyzing business needs and working with cross functional (technical & non-technical) teams to identify requirements and deliver enterprise solutions.
- Experience leading a matrix project team to define, establish, and ensure completion of all program milestones while adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Proven experience managing projects at various levels of complexity using different Project Management Methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details a must
- Thorough knowledge and understanding and proven experience in Software development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Prior experience with Data Movement and Integration or BI solutions
- Prior experience leading Information Technology (IT) implementation projects
- Experience in creating and managing detailed project plans for small to high complexity projects
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Prior experience leading cross-functional teams which may consist of employees, contractors, and consulting partners
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
- Minimizes exposure and risk on project
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
