IT Database Administrator 4 (DBA)
Description:
This is a senior technical professional to supporting the Data Center
Operational Support Services (OSS) team as a Senior Specialist Oracle
Database Administrator. This position requires solid experience in Red
Hat Linux, Solaris, and Windows OS. The candidate will support multiple
database tasks in a dynamic environment, maintaining and managing
databases.
Responsibilities:
a. Database management with Oracle RAC, Grid infrastructure (ASM &
Clusterware), Data Guard (logical and physical standby), Oracle
Enterprise Manager.
b. Oracle database backup/recovery, high availability, data replication
solutions, and applying quarterly security patches.
c. Tuning databases to improve response times of queries.
d. Creation of jobs, stored procedures, and other database activities as
needed.
e. Control of database security systems and how users interact with the data.
f. Documentation of database processes.
g. Plan and execute implementations of new data related applications and
systems.
h. Review and implement new database designs based on developer.

i. Complete system performance tuning and diagnostic related tasks.
j. System health monitoring and proactive correction of issues.
Required Qualifications:
a. Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or
related field, and minimum 6 years related experience; or a Masters'
degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field,
and minimum 4 years related experience.
b. Minimum of 4 years of DBA experience.
c. Minimum of 3 years' experience with Oracle DB technologies, Oracle
Enterprise Manager, upgrade/patching including quarterly security patches
for RAC, Data Guard Standby, standalone environments.
d. Minimum of 3 years' exp erience with Linux Red Hat.
e. Minimum of 3 years' experience writing and debugging stored procedures.
f. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
g. Ability to work onsite at Company offices located in Melbourne, Florida.
Remote work is not possible.
h. Ability to support On call schedule rotations. On call requires this
candidate to report onsite with a response time of one hour maximum.
i. Ability to support weekend, evening, and/or overnight maintenance
request as needed.
j. Ability to travel to disaster recovery site and support as needed.
Preferred Additional Qualification:
a. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
b. Excellent core database administration life cycle skillset from installation to
disaster recovery.
c. Knowledge and experience with standard SQL Server (version 2012 and
later) administration, backup, recovery, refresh databases, performance
tuning, HA/DR solutions, upgrade and patching in a virtual environment is
an added plus.
d. Oracle Multitenant CDB/PDB administration along with migration from
non-CDB to PDB is a plus.
