What Youll Do
Lead IT Contract Management:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of IT contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewals.
- Partner with vendors, internal stakeholders, and teams (IT, Legal, Finance, Procurement) to ensure agreements align with business goals.
- Negotiate key terms to secure favorable deals that drive value while mitigating risks.
Be the Go-To for Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Resolve contract-related issues and hold vendors accountable to their commitments.
- Act as the trusted expert and main point of contact for all IT contract matters.
Lead and Develop a Team:
- Manage and inspire a team of contract analysts/specialists to perform at their best.
- Assign priorities, provide mentorship, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Lead by example with a focus on professionalism, growth, and efficiency.
Drive Operational Excellence:
- Streamline processes to improve how contracts are managed, tracked, and reported.
- Implement tools and practices to ensure visibility, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Continuously look for ways to improve operations and enhance team performance.
What Were Looking For
Experience That Makes You Stand Out:
- 7+ years of experience in contract management, with a focus on IT service agreements.
- 2+ years of experience leading or managing a team.
Skills That Matter:
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms in complex IT contracts (SaaS agreements, SLAs, software licensing, cloud services).
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on mentorship and team growth.
- Highly organized with an eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- A clear communicator who collaborates well with stakeholders at all levels.
Tools & Certifications:
- Experience using contract management systems (like Ariba, Icertis, or DocuSign).
- Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or similar is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Law, or a related field. Masters degree or JD is a bonus.
