IT Compliance Specialist

The Role:

To represent Sedgwick IT with knowledge of IT Compliance activities and standards to clients, carriers and external stakeholders through response to risk assessments and audit requests, and to assist IT management on projects as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Respond to client and carrier IT risk assessments and audit requests in a timely manner with management oversight.

• Respond to client, carrier and legal counsel inquiries regarding IT compliance matters with management oversight.

• Assist in ensuring the ongoing compliance within the IT organization to the ISO 27001:2013 standard.

• Work with solution control owners to assess compliance against the controls

• Identify gaps/actions in case of non-compliance and work with management to track the appropriate control implementation.

• Track compliance action items, verify evidence, and all actions are closed on a timely basis and in compliance with the control.

• Track monitoring activities to ensure all activities are closed on a timely basis; Ensure non-compliance items have action items created and are tracked to completion.

• Perform project management duties in the scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of IT compliance activities; and provides knowledge in IT compliance standards and performance criteria.

• Develop productive internal and external stakeholder relationships; communicates with company colleagues, clients, carriers, vendors and other stakeholders as needed during IT compliance activities.

• Facilitate the review and verification of new third-party vendors with respect to their information security policies and procedures.

• Research changes in professional and industry standards, laws, guidelines and audit requirements.

You will have/will be:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

• Experience of information technology, accounting or closely related industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• Proficient oral and written communication, including presentation skills

• Experience with basic system architecture concepts and processes

• Creative and analytical approach to problem solving

• Excellent detail orientation, time management skills and organization skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with various levels within the organization

• Ability to maintain confidential information in professional manner

• Ability to maintain profession demeanour in times of high stress

• Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities

• Ability to work in a team environment and independently

• Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
