Business Analyst (Minnesota Local)
Duration: 15 months
Location: St. Paul, MN (occasional onsite work required)
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of Business Analysis (BA) experience.
At least 1 year of experience with remote collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Skype, SharePoint, etc.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Proficiency in creating comprehensive functional requirements documents, including user stories, diagrams, process flows, RACI charts, and other necessary documentation.
Project Overview: The Minnesota Client is seeking Business Analyst resources to support high-visibility, complex projects. These projects aim to implement technical solutions for Operational and System Modernization.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Architects, and Subject Matter Experts.
Elicit and document detailed business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, document analysis, and other techniques.
Create clear, concise, and unambiguous requirements specifications and alternative views like diagrams, prototypes, or scenarios.
Decompose high-level business requirements into detailed functional requirements.
Define current and future business processes and identify quality attributes, external interfaces, and constraints.
Lead the analysis and verification of requirements to ensure completeness, consistency, and alignment with standards.
Facilitate requirements prioritization and stakeholder negotiations.
Manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and coordinate Business Validation and inspections of work products.
Foster team collaboration and mentor MNIT Business Analyst resources in best practices and processes.
Additional Responsibilities:
Coordinate end-to-end business process validation to ensure functionality.
Document the product vision and project scope in collaboration with the product manager or sponsor.
Conduct peer reviews of requirements and related work products.
Maintain requirements traceability and track their status throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide knowledge transfer to team members.
