IT Business Analyst (Insurance)
Location: Sandy Springs GA
Duration: 6 months
Rate: DOE
The IT BA should have Insurance experience and experience working integration projects (B2B, API).
Key work will be assisting the current team to create requirements from client's development team, translating what the business provides into specs that the developers can code from.
JIRA experience is required.
CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certified or similar accreditation.
What you'll be doing:
· Meet and discuss ways we will do business in the future by finding ways to leverage our new platform to deliver innovative commercial insurance products
· Create artifacts that document the to-be state of processes, write detailed requirements, and consider all the implications of how requirements will interact with each other
· Develop expertise in at least one and likely several areas of our business and new platform systems
· Represent our business as the subject matter expert on process and systems.
· Analyze and react to issues raised via requirement sessions, testing, or other activities
· Be an excellent communicator connecting business people and technology people together in a language both can understand easily.
· BA/BS Degree; CS or CE degree preferred
· 8 – 10 years' experience in working as an IT Business Analyst in an environment with challenging timeframes and deliverables
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated experience of working with senior stakeholders at all levels within and external to the business
· Creative, proactive, logical and innovative and will not just accept the status quo
· Highly results driven, with the energy and determination to succeed in a very fast paced environment where the pace of response and leadership is critical to success
· An independent thinker with the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
· Experience working with distributed teams and relationship building with stakeholders who are also not located within the same geographical area
· Experience with exposure to the full project life cycle, from inception to user acceptance testing
· Ability to combine "soft” influencing, persuasion and consultancy skills with "leadership” qualities that will encourage business leaders to positively respond to questions, inquires and requests to meet deadlines.
