Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager IT Applications Software Architect. The IT Applications Software Architect will support the Manufacturing & Engineering IT function. You will lead design activities across multiple business functions, applications and systems. Under limited supervision, you will act as a subject matter expert in the installation, design, configuration or specialized testing of applications to support business strategies. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid



What you will do:


* Expert in implementation of new designs and processes for enterprise-level IT applications, within a global business
* Uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve extremely complex problems in creative and effective ways
* Advises and regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers
* Leads development or defines new theories and methods
* Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables
* Exercises independent judgment in developing and approving methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
* Contributes technical guidance to the development of applications to support business strategies
* Oversees and approves application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts
* Recommends new technologies and leads the development of new IT standards and processes based on industry standards and best practices
* Provides mentoring for other team members

Minimum Qualifications:


* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
* 10 years of IT application solution experience with high-level problem solving and technical project management or equivalent combination of education and 8 years' experience required
* Experience managing and successfully implementing complex application solutions producing highly reliable, high volume application infrastructures with high quality documentation for the support of such systems
* Capability to recommend and lead implementation of new designs and processes for enterprise-level IT applications, within a global business
* Experience with communicating IT vision and strategy to IT and Business Leaders
* Broad experience with emerging industry and IT trends
* Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position



Preferred Qualifications:


* Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
* SAP or other major ERP experience
* Experience with a major PLM

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,000 - $179,000 bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
