Who We Are:TheDepartment of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services including Information Technology project delivery, maintenance and support. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB supporting the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD).

About The Position: This Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 9 (ITPA9) position will serve as an Application Programmer/Analyst to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). This position will support and enhance the agencies’ application development needs through the maintenance and modification of existing web based, client server, or mobile applications as well as the development of new web based, client server, or mobile applications. This position will also be tasked with the rewrite of legacy applications and systems. Additional application development support may be assigned as needed to address needs of the DNR, EGLE, and MDARD Application Development section and would encompass testing, implementation, documentation, and support.



Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

SIGNING BONUS: This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
