Job DescriptionITW’s IT internship program is aimed at providing meaningful work and experience to our interns with strong managers serving as their mentors. We expect this internship program to give you marketable experiences and skills, as well as introduce you to ITW’s unique way of doing business.
As an IT Intern, you will be working at our corporate campus in Glenview, IL; one of Chicago’s northern suburbs. Our campus includes a fitness center at no cost to the employees, a cafeteria, outdoor volleyball courts, walking trails around the campus, employee resource groups, corporate discounts, dry cleaning services, covered/outdoor parking, and much more. We are one block walk to the nearest Metra station, and it is a quick 20-minute train ride to downtown Chicago, museums, the lakefront, and activities.
What You Will Do:
Desktop/Endpoint Engineering
- Daily operations to assist maintenance of end-user computing, AV, and VoIP devices.
- Monitor and address basic deviations in overall end-user device health.
- Assist in managing computer system images for new devices.
- Provide initial support for reported issues with end-user computing, AV, and VoIP devices.
- Escalating problems when necessary.
- Ensuring timely and quality issue resolution.
- Alerting management to emerging incident trends.
- Identifying automation opportunities for efficiency.
Additional Information:
ITW's IT Department is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status.
- Required to be a college student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field. Junior year is completed by the summer 2025 and rising senior status is preferred.
- Ability to be in the office 5 days a week with flexible hours.
