The primary role of the IT Admin is to oversee and maintain all aspects of mobile devices and laptops. IT Admin manage the upgrade and installation of new hardware and software on mobile devices and perform troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems. The IT Admin might also make suggestions for improvements to computer systems.
The IT Admin will assemble and disable necessary equipment and track non-accountable inventory items. Maintain and process paperwork for multiple types of accounts. Maintain and provide support for all VTC Equipment / Conference Rooms and report equipment failures.
To be successful as an IT Admin, you should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies and be able to provide direct support to users across the organization. Top candidates will also have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service.
LIST OF DUTIES
· Process all required forms to create, modify, or delete NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and Livelink accounts
· Schedule users for Livelink training provided by Livelink administrator
· Manage and maintain accountability of all telephones and phone numbers within workspaces
· Complete all required forms and submit them to the Phone Help Desk to add, move, or change phones lines, set up or reset voicemail, and process trouble tickets for all phone issues
· Review telephone bills monthly and provide notice of anomalies to the IT Lead
· Verify and validate all commercial long-distance calls from the TMS call-detail records
· Provide monthly reports regarding the status and issues of the Personal Wireless Communication System (PWCS) account number
· Maintain, distribute, and set up all organizational wireless devices, which includes iPhones, iPads, Hotspots, and Land Mobile Radio (LMR)
· Support users in setting up their mobile devices (iPhones/iPads) and install the latest AF-approved e-mail application
· Complete inventory PWCS Asset Management account number. The PWCS inventory is required once per year, or when duties of a Unit PWCS Equipment Control Officer (PECO) are assigned to newly appointed individuals.
· Maintain a monthly PWCS usage report for validation and concurrence by the SMC/Production Corps IT Lead
· Coordinate with the wireless carrier (service provider) to ensure wireless service is activated for users or deactivate service when no longer needed
· Assist in setting up email app for end users
· Provide annual mobile training to end users
· Complete all Non-Core IT-related tasks assigned in TMT within the specified due dates. Taskers will be assigned according to the duties of personnel and areas of responsibility in support of the organization.
· Review and edit the assigned TMT package and obtain approval from the IT Lead prior to submitting the completed TMT package responses
· Provide TMT updates to the IT Lead regarding all assigned taskings to ensure deadlines are met.
· Update and maintain assigned MICT checklists relating to the area of responsibility as outlined in this PWS and obtain government approval from the IT Lead or Branch Chief to validate checklists
· Provide support for all conference rooms’ equipment during the core hours of operation, which includes showing users how to use all of the conference room’s equipment and making sure the equipment is operating properly for daily usage. Report all equipment failures to the IT Help Desk and the IT Lead
· Work closely with the IT Help Desk to schedule all seven conference rooms for an annual preventive maintenance inspection by the Air Force Space Command Video Teleconferencing (VTC) service team
· Meet with the Secured VTC organizer to make sure there is a 30-minute set-up time for an audio/video check and troubleshoot any issues before the meeting
· Respond to all customer inquiries within one hour of notification via email, phone or Teams to install or remove IT office equipment.
· Perform initial troubleshooting assessment and submit requests if necessary to the IT Help Desk.
· Maintain and update continuity binders. (Processes and procedures are current and updated.
· Picking up/assembling new equipment; disassembling existing equipment and updating inventory record
· Track non-accountable devices (e.x. monitors, conference room equipment)
· Perform market research on new IT hardware
· Initiate CIPS process and obtain quotes from vendors
· Assist w GSA advantage orders for consumable
