OVERVIEW
We're looking for a passionate and results-driven Salesperson to help us grow our client relationships and expand our impact. As an IT Account Executive, you'll be the go-to person for developing new business opportunities, managing client accounts, and ensuring the success of our clients through tailored IT solutions. You'll work with our expert team to bring our unique approach to technology consulting to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
What You'll Do
- Develop and nurture client relationships, turning prospects into long-term partners
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Collaborate with our tech teams to design customized IT solutions for our clients
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiations and beyond
- Stay current with the latest tech trends and how they can benefit our clients
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent Universal Data
- Ensure client satisfaction and act as a liaison between clients and our tech teams
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their business goals and IT challenges.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between the client and internal teams
- Schedule regular check-ins with clients to review their current solutions, identify potential issues, and propose upgrades or improvements
- Act as a client advocate internally, ensuring their needs and feedback are communicated effectively to the rest of the team
- Drive the success of each client by anticipating their evolving needs and positioning UDI as their trusted advisor in IT
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities by researching and reaching out to potential clients within various industries
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets
- Participate in lead generation activities such as attending industry events, networking, speaking engagements and following up on referrals or inbound leads
Solution Selling
- Understand the full range of UDI's IT consulting services, including cloud solutions, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and managed services
- Conduct in-dept discovery meetings with potential clients to gather requirements, pain points, and business objectives
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to design tailored IT solutions that address clients' specific needs, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
Sales Cycle Management
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals
- Develop and present proposals, including pricing, timelines, and deliverables, clearly articulating the value of UDI's services
- Track progress using a CRM platform, ensuring all account details, communications, and activities are well-documented
Industry Knowledge
- Stay current on IT industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to provide clients with cutting-edge solutions
- Attend webinars, industry events, and conferences to expand your knowledge and represent UDI within the industry
Collaboration
- Work closely with the technical, marketing, and project management teams to ensure customer success
- Coordinate internal resources to troubleshoot any client issues and deliver timely, effective solutions
- Provide feedback to the marketing team on client pain points and industry trends to help shape future service offerings and campaigns

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Required
- Great communication skills, founded in a being a good listener
- Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field. A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in place of a degree
- 3+ years of proven success in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in a service-based industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and managing client relationships
- Prior experience working with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) to track opportunities, manage pipelines, and analyze sales performance
Nice to Have
- Strong understanding of IT solutions and services, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and managed IT services
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes
