The issuing Agent provides high quality, highly specialized service and support regarding motor vehicle titling and registration applications as well as driver license/identification card and driver compliance issues to a variety of Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) customers and business partners.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Data entry sufficient to examine, proofread, and compare records to ensure that accurate information is entered and updated to DVS information systems.
2. Ability to explain the reasons for transactions, procedures, rules, and regulations to customers of diverse backgrounds.
3. English oral and written language skills sufficient to communicate via email and phone interactions with co-workers, customers, and the general public.
4. Word processing skills sufficient to create, edit, and finalize emails, memos, and letters, for both internal and external customers.
5. Math skills sufficient to do basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
6. Knowledge of computer software applications sufficient to create, edit, and maintain spreadsheets.
7. Database management skills sufficient to generate queries and look-up reports.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Previous motor vehicle title and registration experience, and/or drivers license/identification card and driver compliance issuing, or other experience in a regulatory environment.
2. Ability to learn, understand, and apply motor vehicle and/or drivers license terminology, statutes, and procedures within three months of hire.
3. Demonstrated ability to be well organized and to prioritize tasks.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently, to follow up on activities with little supervision, and to meet deadlines.
5. Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
