IS Project Coordinator (Plano, TX) | PAM Health Corporate
The IS Project Coordinator is responsible for managing our Information Systems organization’s ongoing projects. They will be working closely with team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans. This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.
Responsibilities:I. Job Responsibilities
· Coordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
· Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
· Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
· Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
· Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
· Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
· Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system.
· Obtaining stakeholder acceptance of project deliverables.
· Determine and define project scope and objectives
· Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
· Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
· Track project costs in order to meet budget
· Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
· Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
· Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
· Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
· Conducting post project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
· Designing risk mitigation plan
· Monitor project and/or personnel performance, checking actual performance against planned performance to ensure technical, schedule, and budget goals are met or exceeded
· Collect inputs and prepare weekly and monthly status reports as required for all levels of an organization including Executive Steering Committees
· Anticipate problems or situations that could affect the project and proactively mitigate them
· Manage escalated situations proactively, involving management as needed
· Interact frequently with team, management and customers to define project requirements and identify solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, and regulations

Qualifications:Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Minimum Work Experience: Proven experience in project management. Five to Eight years of project management and related experience. Budget management experience is preferred. Experience managing software implantation projects in healthcare environment a plus. Experience as a healthcare project manager a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Excellent oral communication skills
· Superb written skills (proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word)
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to work and lead as part of a project team
· Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
· Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers, identify engagement follow-on opportunities, and possess a desire to drive personal and team excellence
· Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
ORGANIZATIONAL DATA: This is an exempt position. It is supervised by the Chief Information Officer (CIO)
