- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Responsible for design and development of enterprise infrastructure. Develops technology roadmaps and ensures alignment with business needs, service-levels and availability requirements. Participates in incident, request, problem, configuration and change management according to ITIL standards and established service level agreements (SLA). Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex infrastructure issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- Information Services is committed to providing leadership, support and coordination of technology at Samaritan Health Services. The IS Infrastructure department provides a robust, agile and secure IT Infrastructure that supports SHS business objectives. The infrastructure includes, but is not limited to the following services: Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure (Infrastructure as a Service),data network, voice, Windows and Linux server, data center and centralized endpoint management.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field) or equivalent experience required.
- Ten (10) years experience in systems administration or engineering (relevant to position) required.
- Expert proficiency designing, building, and implementing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azurestrongly preferred
- Industry recognized, current and relevant certification required within one (1) year of hire.Azure certification from Microsoft preferred.
- Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, IPAM, DNS/WINS and related network services and protocols required.
- Experience in technical writing and the creation of associated architecture diagrams (artifacts) required.
- Technical project management experience preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

- Ability to translate business needs into Azure designs that meet the Azure Well-Architected Framework andCloud Adoption Framework for Azure
- Teamwork: Working with other roles, such as developers, administrators, security engineers, and data engineers, to implement solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Ability to executeCloud Migration plans into Microsoft Azure
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify complex problems, involve key parties, gather pertinent data and consider various options in the decision making process. Skilled at applying problem solving skills in a logical, systematic way to resolve issues.
