- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- We are looking for talented and motivated people to join our team in creating high-value Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for our system of hospitals and clinics. The Business Intelligence Developer uses skills in data modeling, data analysis, and data integration to develop reports on the Microsoft Power BI platform. This involves working with customers to understand business processes, elicit reporting requirements, and provide guidance on analyzing data. They may also support and develop data warehouse models, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and other data solutions to support the data analysis needs of the organization. They will integrate data from the Epic electronic heath records system and other data sources, and perform work using standard team development practices. They may also be involved with documenting solutions, process improvement, and data governance initiatives.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- Information Services is committed to providing leadership, support and coordination of technology at Samaritan Health Services. The IS Design and Operations function manages the operations of our existing services and implements new technology into the organization on behalf of our business customers. Our team includes the 24/7 service desk, application operations and implementation teams.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an Information Technology related field) or equivalent experience required.
- Two (2) years experience in programming reports, dashboards or other business intelligence tools required.
- Experience with SQL development and relational/dimensional data models required.
- Experience or training in Microsoft technology stack (including SQL Server T-SQL, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SharePoint and Excel) preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
