Job Description & Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Irrigation Service Technician position is to provide irrigation maintenance to all of our residential/commercial clients, while upholding the company’s exceptional standards of quality, workmanship and professionalism. Position requires a person to be able to effectively communicate with customers and office staff, effectively use email, complete required paperwork.
Proper execution is defined, but not limited to, perform list of duties/responsibilities to the best their ability, effectively communicate with customers and staff, performance/appearance quality, paperwork execution, inventory management, properly dressed and groomed.
Outlined below are basic responsibilities of the position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Assists in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of irrigation systems.
o Complete understanding of the various types of irrigation equipment used in the
residential and commercial environment.
o Understanding of hydraulics and basic system design, being able to communicate this understanding verbally to customers.
o Locates, evaluates, excavates and repairs damaged or malfunctioning irrigation
equipment.
o Effective writing, communication and math skills.
o Capable of providing written estimates to customers as required from service visits
o Maintains proper part/tool inventory on service vehicle daily.
o Keeps service vehicle cleaned and organized to company standards.
o Provides feedback of daily activities through an “end of day” email.
o Ensures that service vehicle gets maintenance done as needed.
o Proper completion of service tickets/documents as services are completed.
o Able to effectively navigate with a set of map quest directions.
Physical Requirements: Work involves a moderate to heavy work load in all types of weather conditions. Needs to be able to dig, trench and excavate with a hand held shovel/slit trencher.
Able to physically use all hand/power tools that are necessary to perform the tasks of the Service Tech position.
