Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Operations Analyst to join our investment management team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient execution of investment operations, including trade processing, reconciliation, and performance reporting. Roles and Responsibilities:

Trade Processing and Settlement:
- Execute and monitor trade orders across various asset classes, ensuring timely and accurate settlement.
- Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and counterparties to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Maintain trade logs and records for audit trail purposes.

Portfolio Reconciliation:
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of portfolio positions, cash balances, and transactions.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal records and external sources (e.g., custodian statements).

Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- Calculate and analyze investment performance metrics, including returns, attribution, and benchmarks.
- Prepare and distribute performance reports to portfolio managers, clients, and stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Assist in preparing materials for client presentations and investment committee meetings.

Data Management and Analysis:
- Maintain and update investment data, including security master files, pricing data, and corporate actions.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of investment information.
- Utilize analytical tools and software to analyze data and support decision-making processes.

- Identify opportunities to streamline investment operations processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to implement automation solutions and enhance system capabilities.
- Document procedures and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards.

- Monitor investment guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure adherence throughout the investment process.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential operational risks.
- Support compliance testing and audits by providing data and responding to inquiries.
Compensation: Compensation for an Investment Operations Analyst typically includes a base salary ranging from $55,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and the size of the organization. Additional benefits may include performance-based bonuses, health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
Skills Required:
- Financial Markets Knowledge: Understanding of financial instruments, asset classes, and investment products (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives).

Education and Experience:

- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in investment operations, middle office, or a related role within the financial services industry.
