We are currently looking for an experienced Associate to join the top-ranked Insurance Investment Banking Group's team of 27 professionals based in New York City.
The Insurance Investment Banking Group is an industry powerhouse. We provide sophisticated and highly differentiated financial advisory and capital raising services to insurance services firms (distributions, claims and other services) and insurance underwriters. Our clients also include some of the largest and most sophisticated financial sponsors, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds. We are a trusted advisor to our clients, assisting them in developing and accessing alternatives to meet their strategic objectives.
Our Associates are a vital part of the Insurance Investment Banking Group, playing an important role in building our client relationships and executing transactions. The Group's market-leading deal flow will provide the Associate immediate opportunity to take part in structuring and executing a variety of mergers and acquisitions, capital raising transactions, and other strategic advisory projects. Our Associates work closely with senior bankers to expand their investment banking skillset while making a real impact on our clients' businesses. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team in New York City.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of prior investment banking or private equity experience
- Insurance or related industry experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with buy-side and sell-side M&A, equity and debt financing transactions
- Excellent financial modeling skills and experience preparing industry and client presentations
- Experience with due diligence and transaction execution processes
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a deal team in a fast-paced environment
- E xtremely detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task
- Strong work ethic, motivation level, leadership qualities and desire to take initiative
- Ability to interact with a wide range of constituents and serve as a point of contact on deal teams
- Long-term interest in investment banking

The anticipated starting salary range for this New York City-based position is $175,000 - $225,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
