POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Investment Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in elevating our organization's decision-making processes by leveraging your advanced skills in data analysis and your ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations. Your role will encompass a broader scope of responsibilities, including contributing to strategic planning, and taking ownership of complex projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Gathering and Analysis:
- Lead the collection and comprehensive analysis of data from diverse sources, including databases, reports, and stakeholders.
- Utilize advanced statistical techniques and data analysis tools to identify intricate trends, patterns, and areas for optimization.
- Interpret and present data, providing nuanced insights to drive strategic initiatives.
- Reporting and Presentation:
- Spearhead the creation of comprehensive reports, interactive dashboards, and high-impact presentations to convey findings, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Articulate complex information in a coherent and compelling manner, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Take a proactive role in developing compelling business cases for novel initiatives and projects.
- Project Support:
- Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring including project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Proactively monitor project progress, anticipate potential risks, and devise mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to discern and align business strategies with data-driven insights.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating open and effective communication and collaboration.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to dissect complex data sets.
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization tools) and a drive to stay updated on industry best practices.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for presenting intricate information clearly and concisely.
- Exemplary attention to detail, combined with the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.
- In-depth familiarity with diverse business analysis frameworks and techniques (e.g., SWOT analysis, process mapping) to enhance strategic decision-making.
- Proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities and excel in a fast-paced, ever-evolving business environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a business analysis role, showcasing progressive responsibilities and leadership abilities.
- Prior experience in Residential Whole Loans or Structured Products is advantageous.
COMPENSATION and LOCATION:
This role will be based in Bayview’s New York City or Morristown, NJ offices.
The base compensation range is expected to be $110-140K depending on experience, with opportunity for incentive compensation including a performance-based bonus.
