About the Job
The Investment Accountant will provide accounting services to investors with integrity by monitoring partner investments, maintaining financial statements and reports, following third-party activity and gathering tax information for CPA firm. The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional active listening, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated performance in complex mathematics and time management. Full-time candidates preferred; part-time candidates will be considered.
Minimum Qualifications
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
• Experience working with Adobe software.
• Experience working with Yardi.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Non-DOT Drug Test is required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1 – 3 years’ experience preferred.
Typical Duties
• Analyzes capital assets additions vs allowable write-offs.
• Manages and overlooks numerous properties and investors at once.
• Evaluates and manages fixed assets additions and disposals for budgets, projections and final year-end tax returns.
• Manages partnership’s investor capital accounts.
• Prepares tax adjusted financials using excel.
• Manages investor K-1’s and issues drafts and finals.
• Confers verbally and in writing directly with tax preparers, team members, executives and investors.
• Prepares tax files and spreadsheets.
• Performs accounting for real estate property (financials, cash management, projections, budgets, etc.).
• Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
