About the Job
The Investment Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate books & records, day-to-day reporting, entity management, and treasury functions for all corporate, investment, and partnership entities.

Responsibilities:Responsible for accounting and treasury management for all investment entities, ensuring expenses, receipts, investor activity, capital calls, distributions and other transactions are accurately recorded on corporate, investment, and property entities in Yardi.
Analyze & reconcile all corporate, investment, and partnership entity balance sheet accounts on a periodic basis.
Prepare KPI & metrics reporting using data analytics to evaluate project trends, efficiency, profitability, risk, and backlogs, providing actionable insights for decision-making and strategy.
Understand corporate, investment, and property entities’ operating structures, partnership agreements, and compliance requirements.
Deliver accurate & timely financial reporting to investors, lenders, and other management teams.
Monitor contingent liabilities for development projects and deliver monthly reports to management teams.
Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for corporate, investment, and partnership entities.
Maintain and optimize DealPath software system by creating custom reports and views as requested.
Assist with preparation of workpapers for annual audits & tax returns.
Assist with special projects and other related duties as may be assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in public accounting with exposure to both tax and audit services.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax accounting required.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
Proficiency in data analytics and experience with database management preferred.
Experience with GAAP consolidations preferred.
Real estate, especially affordable, multifamily housing experience preferred.
Excellent analytical and technical skills with demonstrated expertise in financial analysis and modeling.
Experience working with a major general ledger / enterprise accounting software system. Yardi experience a plus.
Must be organized and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
