Inventory Accountant
Job Summary
Vaco has partnered with a Consumer Good Client and they are looking to fill an Inventory Accountant role that starts ASAP. This role is long-term temporary opportunity with some chance to convert to permanent. This role reports to the Inventory Accounting Manager and partners with teams across the global organization. Experience with inventory accounting is a must and possess strong excel knowledge (pivot tables/v look ups). Client is offering generous work from home days and learning opportunities.
Functions/Duties
- Inventory Accounting processes
- COGS repots for end of month
- Journal entries and account reconciliation for the month end close process
- Inventory accounting adjustments
- Inventory transactional processing
- Reduce variances related to invoicing pricing and receiving information
- Schedule audit to ensure compliance
Requirements:
- B.S. in Accounting is a must
- 1-2 years of experience with Inventory Accounting
- Strong Excel skills (index, pivot tables, lookups, macros)
- Strong Communication
- Able to be working independently - proactive, self-starter
