The Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing inventory activities for the Microelectronics Production team. This role’s primary responsibilities are receiving, staging, storage and tracking of parts used in the building of water filtration equipment. This position works with a variety of internal employees to ensure inventory is managed efficiently and effectively.
Location: Brooklyn Park, MN (Onsite)
Travel: 0-10%
Compensation: $25-35/hr
Responsibilities:
- Monitor schedule and be able to provide updates of upcoming parts deliveries.
- Receive and record incoming parts.
- Implement and maintain a parts storage and tracking system.
- Implement and maintain a parts staging system for upcoming equipment builds.
- Investigation of late or missing parts.
- Implement inventory process improvements.
- Adherence to all company safety procedures with a goal of zero accidents.
- Adherence to all company quality procedures with a goal of zero process nonconformances.
- Provide leadership to other team members for all inventory related activities
- 2-year degree in a closely related field or a combination of education and experience.
- 2 years working in a related warehouse or inventory role
- Working knowledge of inventory best practices
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Physical and Mental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, climb or balance, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk.
- Physically able to perform inventory related physical activities.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
