Inventory Specialist - SURESTAFF

SURESTAFF is excited to announce that we are immediately hiring for 1st and 2nd shift Inventory Specialist for a large, well-known client in Chicago, IL. This is a temp to hire position. This is an awesome company to work for with great culture! As an Inventory Specialist you will be responsible for performing inventory control activities and keeping track of product input and output. Stand up reach experience is required. Strong math and computer skills are a must. What you’ll do:  

1. Assist in inventory monitoring and investigations, analysis of discrepancies and irregularities. 
2. Enter data for quantities of various items in warehouse issued and transferred between locations, inventory, and cycle count adjustments into computer database. 
3. Follow daily cycle counts as requested by supervisor. 
4. Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired. 
5. Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights. 
6. Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventories. 
7. Receive count/verify incoming orders as requested. 
8. Process damaged or defective stock. 
9. Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with supervisors and management. 
10. Document discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock. 
11. Record inventory data manually/electronically on computer. 

 Qualifications & Skills: 

1. HAACP Certification preferred. 
2. Forklift experience required. 
3. Must be a team player.  
4. Must have excellent verbal and written communicate skills. 
5. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with teams. 
6. Ability to prove dependability and attendance. 
7. Must have strong math and computer skills. 
8. Ability to analyze information gathered to identify potential problems or discrepancies. 
9. Willing to work weekends, holidays or different shifts when needed to ensure the business is operational 24/7 
10. Must be able to repetitively lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds. 
11. Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and squatting. Also, frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level and from the floor. 
12. Willing to take on additional duties as needed.
