Overview
The Data Analyst role will involve collecting, cleaning, and analyzing operational data using SQL and Power BI. Collaborating with various departments, you'll translate business requirements into analytical solutions, utilizing visualization tools to present insights to stakeholders. Your focus will be on improving efficiency and generating new insights through data-driven decision making. This position is not remote.
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources within the business environment.
- Utilize SQL to query databases and extract relevant data for analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business processes.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations to improve user efficiency and resource allocation.
- Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Business, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience/projects.
- Basic to intermediate-level proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and data associated with them.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn raw data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and present findings to stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with PowerBI for dashboarding and reporting.
- Intermediate understanding of T-SQL (aggregations, window functions, cte’s, etc.)
- Basic knowledge in a programming language (i.e., Python)
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
